Tottenham fans react on Twitter as Dele Alli accepts FA violent conduct charge

Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli faces a three game ban.

Tottenham Hotspur will have to continue their title push without Dele Alli it appears, after the midfielder responded to a FA misconduct charge.

SkySports reported Alli has accepted the charge of violent conduct, and will learn his fate ahead of the weekend.

The BBC reported that a charge of violent conduct typically receives a three game punishment.

Alli was caught on camera throwing a punch at West Bromwich Albion midfielder Claudio Yacob in the Monday night clash.

A three game ban would see Alli miss all of Tottenham's final league games, against Chelsea, Southampton, and Newcastle.

Tottenham's chances of winning the title are slim after the draw with West Brom, seven points behind Leicester with three games remaining, and Alli's absence makes their chances even tougher.

Perhaps anger at Alli would have been a more prevailing feeling had Tottenham been closer to the title, but instead the feeling is one of disappointment and hope that the PFA Young Player of the Year can learn his lesson.
