The Spanish side have plans to remember the 96 victims before their Europa League clash.
The two sides meet in the Europa League semi final tie on Thursday evening, with Liverpool travelling to Spain for the first leg.
It has been a monumental week for the club, fan base and indeed the city as a whole, with the inquest into the disaster 27 years ago reaching a verdict this week that the fans were unlawfully killed.
And in a touch of class, the Reds opponents have planned to remember those that lost their lives in the tragedy.
As reported by AS, the La Liga side have prepared a banner which will be unfurled at the south end of their El Madrigal stadium.
The banner will feature the number 96, as well as the chorus to Liverpool’s famous anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and will also be accompanied by the song being played before kick off.
The move is a classy one from the Spaniards, and will be warmly appreciated by both the club and their fans after a momentous week for both.
