Arsenal star praised his former side Villarreal.
Arsenal star Santi Cazorla had congratulatory words for his former side Villarreal after they beat Liverpool 1-0 at El Madrigal.
The Yellow Submarine sunk Jurgen Klopp's side with a late goal, but the tie is far from over with the second leg at Anfield still to come next week.
Cazorla was delighted to see Villarreal inch closer to the Europa League final, and urged them to complete the job in the return match.
Writing on Twitter, the Arsenal midfielder posted: "Good result for @VillarrealCF one step closer to getting a title that both the club, the team and the fans deserve."
Despite being an established La Liga side, Villarreal have never lifted a major trophy.
Cazorla, 31, played for Villarreal between 2007 and 2011, before signing with Malaga, who he left a year later to join Arsenal.
He has been out of action since late last year when he picked up a knee injury, but SkySports are reporting that he could be included in Arsenal's squad to face Norwich City in the Premier League this weekend.
