Arsenal's sidelined Spanish play-maker Santi Cazorla has lavished praise on Philippe Coutinho, labelling him Liverpool's best player.
Cazorla told Spanish newspaper AS how everything good that Liverpool do seems to stem from the Brazilian.
"He makes the difference for them," the Spaniard said. "A lot of their play goes through him."
The Arsenal man was speaking ahead of Liverpool's crucial Europa League semi-final clash against Villarreal at El Madrigal tonight.
The Reds will be hoping that their star man is on form this evening as they look to secure a lead before heading back to Anfield next week for the return leg.
Coutinho has been a key player for the Merseyside club this term. In 37 appearances for the Reds he has managed six goals and registered 12 assists. With a tight game expected in Spain, his ability to create something out of nothing could prove to be crucial for Liverpool's hopes of progressing to the final.
Cazorla finished off by praising the Red's high intensity game since Jürgen Klopp's arrival, but still feels that his former club have a chance:
"Liverpool have a clear philosophy, they are an intense team up front, they press very high up, but if Villarreal get past this pressure and can move the ball around, they will have made a lot of progress."
