Report: Nottingham Forest have made no approach for Leeds United boss Steve Evans

Forest City Ground

The Scot is being linked with a heap of jobs at present.

Nottingham Forest are currently on the hunt for a new manager. The club sacked Dougie Freedman earlier in the season and have been linked with plenty of names in their hunt for a replacement.

One such player is Steve Evans.

He became an odd bookies favourite a few months ago and, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Nottingham Forest approached the Leeds boss already at Easter time to gauge his interest in the role at the City Ground.

Now however it is being reported that Evans has not been approached by Forest regarding the job.

BBC Nottingham Sport understands that Forest have not made any approach for the Leeds at present.

Leeds United boss Evans is out of contract at the club this summer and is also said to be interesting Celtic and Peterborough United after a fairly impressive season at Elland Road.

However, Leeds owner Massimo Cellino looks likely to replace him this summer with a different choice.

Forest meanwhile are said to be considering options from home and abroad as they look to bring in a new manager to hopefully help them into a promotion fight.
