Fenerbahce are not holding out hope of re-signing Mehmet Topal, it is claimed.
Turkish news outlet NTV has reported that Mehmet Topal is not part of Fenerbahce's plans for next season, with the club resigning themselves to his exit this summer.
Topal's contract expires at the end of the season, but there are no talks planned at present to renew it.
NTV report meeting are being held this week with several of Fenerbahce's 12 soon to be out of contract players, but Topal is not one of the players who will be offered a new deal.
This could very well be because he has agreed a switch elsewhere, with Tottenham claimed to have tied up a deal.
Topal is a Turkish international who is set to feature at Euro 2016, and it makes sense from his part to tie up his future one way or another before the tournament.
The 30-year-old has experience which is lacking in Tottenham's first team squad, which may come in useful in their Champions League campaign next season.
