The Fenerbahce owned striker has not been a regular goalscorer in London.
The Nigerian striker was brought in on loan from Fenerbahce in the winter to help cover their problematic forward positions.
However, he has not exactly pulled up roots and West Ham are not believed to be keen on making his loan move permanent.
But he will not be without suitors.
He is known to have interested parties in China and the Middle East, but now it would seem that Spanish side Real Sociedad are also keen on bringing him in.
Espiritu Deportivo is reporting that the Basque side are looking into the possibility of bringing him in from the Turkish side on the cheap – as they worry about the future of some of their star players.
Emenike has played 13 times for The Hammers since making his move but has only managed to muster two goals – both coming in the same game against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.
His departure from West Ham would however suggest the club are looking to bring in a different striker this summer.
