Nasser El Khayati has told Queens Park Rangers’ official site that he is hoping to feature before the end of the season.
El Khayati has been used sparingly at Loftus Road, since joining from Burton Albion in the January transfer window.
However, manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has suggested that he will tinker with his line-up over the rest of the season.
Rangers are some way off the play offs, and the remainder of the campaign is being used as an exercise to lay the foundations for a more successful campaign next time around.
El Khayati is likely to feature more prominently in the 2016/17 season, but the Dutchman is still aiming to make an impression before this term is up.
“I hope I get the chance to play in one of the games, maybe both – maybe not!” he said. “And if I don’t start, I have to make sure I am ready as a sub.
“That is for the gaffer to decide but I hope I get some minutes in my legs.”
QPR’s next match this comes against Burnley on Monday evening, before they take on Bristol City on the last day of the campaign.
Rangers go into the matches looking to end a run of three matches without a victory, which has seen them slip into the bottom half.
El Khayati has made two Championship starts for QPR so far, and 12 substitute appearances. He has scored on two occasions.
