Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur will be able to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Tottenham are still in the title race this campaign, but a seven-point gap between themselves and league leaders Leicester City means that it is an uphill battle.
The North London outfit, though, should be able to finish second in the league table and can consider the 2015-16 campaign a successful one.
Former Tottenham manager Redknapp believes that the current squad can challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Englishman, though, has warned that Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all will be stronger during the 2016-17 campaign.
“When we talk about next year, Man City are going to be stronger, Chelsea are going to be stronger, Man United, Liverpool are getting better, but this is a good Tottenham team,” Redknapp told talkSPORT when asked if Tottenham will be able to win the league title next season.
“This Tottenham team can go on and they will be bang there again for a good few years to come I would have thought with the players.”
Tottenham have a very young and hungry squad, with some truly good players such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld.
If the North London outfit are able to retain the services of their best players and perhaps add in a couple more to add depth to the squad, then there is a very good chance that they will be able to compete with the likes of City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea for the Premier League title next season.
