The Aston Villa duo's actions in recent weeks have seen them heavily criticised.
Both players have earned the ire of the Villa faithful in recent weeks, as their actions have added to the misery at the club.
Agbonlahor has allegedly been filmed partying on the evening that his side’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed, while Okore has been slammed after reports he has refused to play for the first-team.
Savage is one of those who has been left unimpressed, and he says he would play the duo to allow the fans to boo them and show their displeasure.
“If I was the manager, I’d say you get out on that pitch out there you deserve to take the flak as much as anybody,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“The easiest thing for Agbonlahor to do now is to sit back and say I’m not playing. That’s the easy way. Okore too. Stick them both out on the pitch and let the Aston Villa fans vent their frustration. They’ve been pathetic.”
There is no denying that both Agbonlahor and Okore are in for rough treatment from the Villa faithful should they feature once again.
Indeed, the attitudes shown by the duo have perfectly demonstrated the scale of the problem that the club will have to overcome next season.
With both now out of favour, and arguably not welcome, it will be interesting to see how long both remain at the club when the expected summer overhaul gets underway.
