Spurs drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening to all but end their chances of winning the Premier League title, but Pochettino's men do still have the Champions League to look forward to next season.
To compete in both the Premier League and in Europe's premier club competition, Tottenham will need to add new signings and strengthen their squad this summer, and reports have linked them with two targets in France.
The London Evening Standard claimed earlier this week that Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi is a top target for Spurs as they look to find some cover for star striker Harry Kane, whilst L'Equipe suggested that Tottenham are also keen on Lyon centre back Samuel Umtiti.
Batshuayi has been prolific for Marseille with 20 goals this season, whilst centre back Umtiti is in contention for the French squad for this summer's European Championships.
Today, Pochettino spoke to French radio station RMC about a whole host of topics, and was asked about his interest in both 22-year-olds Batshuayi and Umtiti.
As quoted by Foot Mercato, Pochettino admitted that his recruitment staff are watching Umtiti, whilst Batshuayi is also on Tottenham's radar, but so are a number of other strikers.
"Yes, Umtiti is an interesting player with great potential that could come to England. He is one of the players that our recruitment team is following," said Pochettino.
"We look for a striker this summer. This player is young and has a lot of talent. Logically, it should be on the list of many clubs. We have people who have given us information about him. He has some potential...we'll see, we have other players in our sights. We are following him," he added.
