The West Ham defender is excited by the prospect of facing his former club.
West Ham have secured a major coup by announcing their first friendly opponents next term: Serie A champions Juve.
And, for defender Ogbonna, there will also be personal factors involved, as he plays his former team.
Ogbonna is quoted as saying by the West Ham site: "I’m really excited. It’s my old team Juventus and everything [here at the Stadium] looks amazing. The pitch is amazing, I think our support will be amazing and I’m so excited.
"It will be a massive crowd and it’s very important for us to have this new place waiting for us and I can’t wait. For us, it’s a big game and I hope it will be the first win for us in our new ground as well!"
The West Ham defender has enjoyed a good debut campaign in east London but the Hammers could still improve on their defensive record.
West Ham have scored a healthy 57 goals this season but have conceded 43, which is more than anyone else in the top eight apart from Liverpool - who haven't exactly been known for their good defending in recent seasons.
It'll be interesting to see how the size of the Olympic Stadium and its pitch affect how the Irons play their football - and how fans can interact with the game in terms of noise and atmosphere.
