Ian Wright was quizzed over Arsenal and Tottenham on his recent radio appearance.
Former Arsenal star Ian Wright was asked a question over what he would prefer as a Gunners fan on his latest BBC Radio 5 Live 606 show on Sunday night.
Wright was asked if he would rather Tottenham win the title and Arsenal finish fourth and finish in the Champions League places, or if he would take Arsenal finishing in fifth place, if it meant Tottenham end the season in second place.
The ex-Gunner responded to say that he would simply have to applaud Spurs, and would not want his own team to finish in a lower position than is possible.
He said: "I hear a lot of Arsenal fans say they wish Arsenal don't finish in top four so something would happen [with Wenger].
"I can't have that. I dont care what the permutation is, they cant fall out of it [the top four].
"As long Arsenal can finish fourth, I'd have to take it [Spurs winning the league], I'd take that. Because that's where Arsenal are at the moment, and that's where Spurs are at the moment."
Fortunately for Arsenal fans it is not a decision they will have to make, but also more pressingly, Tottenham's title chances have decreased substantially after they failed to beat West Bromwich Albion at home on Monday evening.
Leicester City need just one win to clinch the title, with three games remaining.
