Tony Pulis nearing new deal with West Brom

Tony Pulis Interview - 23/02/2014

HITC Sport understands talks have gone well with chairman Jeremy Peace.

Tony Pulis is set to sign a new West Bromwich Albion contract, and it could even be by the end of this month.

West Brom chief Jeremy Peace has decided that he is happy for Pulis to continue in charge after he once again guided them to safety.

HITC Sport has been told by sources close to the club that talks have gone well, and have progressed quickly in recent weeks.

Both chairman and manager want the deal done quickly so they can move onto their plans for the summer transfer market, with Pulis hoping to make a number of moves in the off-season.

Pulis is believed to be pleased with how talks have gone in respect the club's plans for squad building this pre-season as he is ready to oversee a mini-overhaul of his squad.

Saido Berahino's long-term future is likely to be resolved with Pulis keen to move the young striker out of the club and does not want him or West Brom to be dragged into another saga - which has previously seen the player demand, but fail to secure, a move to Tottenham Hotspur, who remain favourites to land his signature.
