Will West Ham be able to sign and start six-time Serie A winner against Juventus?

West Ham have been linked to Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of the summer.

West Ham announced this week they will host Italian champions Juventus for the first ever game at the Olympic Stadium in pre-season, ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

Juventus are glamour opponents well worthy of such an occasion, the 2014/15 Champions League finalists.

It is of course a big shame that ex-Hammer Carlos Tevez left the Italian champions last summer to return to Boca Juniors, while Angelo Ogbonna will be happy to welcome the side where he spent two seasons before leaving for West Ham last summer.

West Ham will hope to use the occasion to show off one or two big name signings - and there would be none bigger than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic is a six-time Serie A winner, earning two of those titles with Juventus, although they were later stripped of them and relegated from the division amid a match fixing row, the Swede's efforts at the club remain highly regarded.

The Sun reported earlier this year that West Ham are keen on signing the Swedish international, whose contract at PSG expires this summer.

There would be no better way for West Ham to make an impact against Juventus than by parading one of their former stars against them, and few would bet against the prolific striker finding the scoresheet.
