A report in the Dutch press links Leeds again to Anthony Limbombe.
Leeds United have been linked again to Anthony Limbombe, by Dutch newspaper De Gerlander.
Limbombe plays for NEC Nijmegen and was subject of transfer interest from the Championship side.
The report does not suggest Leeds are making an active play to sign the winger from the Eredivisie club, simply that NEC are preparing for transfer interest in several of their players, with Leeds and French side Lille known to be interested in Limbombe.
Leeds were priced out of the battle for his signature last August and switch their attentions to Excelsior's Jordan Botaka instead.
They were successful in signing Botaka, but he has started just two Championship games, and despite looking lively as a substitute in his last two showings, has a lot to prove at the club.
Limbombe, 21, is a winger but is a little more direct than Botaka whose tricks and skills are a greater part of his game, and has been a regular in the Eredivisie this season.
He has scored seven goals in 30 games, which have included six appearances as a central striker, but has provided just two assists.
Whether he can improve this at Leeds is a big question, while Botaka's battle to adjust may make them more reticent to buy from the Eredivisie, given that they are a club desiring instant results next season.
