Arsenal celebrated wildly when they beat Leicester City in February, yet now it is impossible for them to win the title.
There were big hopes for Arsenal this season with many tipping them to win the Premier League.
Leading the league on January 1, certainly not many expected that they would be mathematically ruled out of winning the title with three games to go, and whichever way it fell, they would push to the end.
Yet after Leicester beat Swansea and Arsenal just drew at Sunderland, the Gunners' title dream for 2015/16 is over.
When they look back they will wonder quite how it got to this stage, especially after they beat Leicester in early February.
After the game the players celebrated by taking a photo posing in the dressing room as they soaked up the last minute victory, with Danny Welbeck netting a late goal from a Mesut Ozil free-kick.
That win took Arsenal to within just two points of Leicester, so to be 12 points behind just two months later is an indictment of their poor form.
Their celebration photo just looks embarrassing now, and sums up a decade of near but not near enough under Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, not having lifted the trophy since 2004.
