United have progressed to the final of the prestigious cup competition courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Premier League rivals Everton at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Palace have reached the final by winning against Watford by the same scoreline at the same venue.
Redknapp believes that United will win against the Eagles, although he has suggested that Alan Pardew’s side do have a chance.
“That being said, I do expect United to go on to win the FA Cup – although I don’t mind admitting I’d like to see Crystal Palace do it,” the former Queens Park Rangers boss wrote in The Telegraph.
“Palace have a chance, too,” added Redknapp. “To do so they need Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha at their best, and United will know that on their day those two can absolutely murder you.
“The problem is that you often don’t know which Bolasie or Zaha will turn up, and after a game you might think 'where were they today?' The problem with players like that is consistency.”
United will head into the final as favourites as they have the better team, but in a one-off game anything is possible and Palace can certainly win the match at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Palace are safe from relegation to the Championship, and Pardew will be determined to end the season on a high.
Winning the FA Cup would be a massive success for the Eagles and would be considered progress for the London club.
