Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp has picked Sunderland duo Lamine Kone and Younes Kaboul in his Premier League and FA Cup Team of the Weekend for The Telegraph.
Defenders Kone and Kaboul started the Premier League game against Arsenal at home on Sunday afternoon and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Kone took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 62%, won 78% of his headers, made three interceptions, 16 clearances and three blocks.
Kaboul had a pass accuracy of 53%, put in one cross, and made four interceptions, three clearances and four blocks.
Sunderland played out a goalless draw with Arsenal at the Stadium of Light to enhance their chances of survival in the Premier League.
Redknapp has also picked Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and striker Anthony Martial in his Premier League and FA Cup Team of the Weekend for The Telegraph.
De Gea made a number of saves during United’s 2-1 victory over Premier League rivals Everton in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday evening. Martial scored the winner for the Red Devils in the third minute of injury time.
Leicester City’s Danny Simpson, Christian Fuchs, Riyad Mahrez and Leonardo Ulloa, Chelsea pair Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard, and Southampton attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic also find themselves in Redknapp’s team.
