This Premier League season is coming to a close but already speculation is ramping up ahead of the summer transfer window.
A player linked again with signing for Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend is Napoli ace Manolo Gabbiadini, the versatile attacker stuck behind Gonzalo Higuain in the pecking order at Napoli.
Gabbiadini, 24, is an interesting option for Tottenham due to his ability to play out wide, where he would likely compete with a spot in the side with ex-Roma opponent Erik Lamela, although Napoli use him as a central striker when Higuain is unavailable or rested.
He has scored nine goals in Serie A and the Europa League this season from eight starts, plus a further 19 appearances from the bench.
Calciomercato report that in Serie A he has an impressive goal ratio of one every 109 minutes, among the very best in the division, and there is a clamour from Napoli fans for him to feature more regularly. They also claim Inter Milan are interested in his signature.
This goal ratio is, incredibly, superior to Tottenham striker Harry Kane who averages a goal every 141 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Sergio Aguero has the best in the Premier League with a goal every 95 minutes he is on the pitch.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will push on with their efforts to try and sign Gabbiadini this summer, but if they do, he could be a very shrewd addition to an already excellent squad.
