The former England international’s youngest child has agreed terms with the Premier League giants.

The son of ex-Liverpool and Leicester City striker Emile Heskey has signed a youth team contract with Manchester City, reports the Daily Mail.

Eight-year-old Reigan has made his first strides into a professional football career after agreeing to a deal with the Premier League heavyweights.

There is clearly something in the Heskey genes, with his oldest son Jaden already on the books at the club’s academy.

Former England international Heskey - who won 62 caps for his country, scoring seven goals - currently plays for Championship basement side Bolton Wanderers. The Trotters are preparing for life in the third tier of English football for the first time since the 1992-93 campaign after relegation was confirmed at the beginning of April.

Several professional players have seen their offspring snapped up by the City academy. According to the Daily Mail, the sons of Robin van Persie, Darren Fletcher and Phil Neville have all been part of the youth team, while Andy Cole’s son Devane left in 2015.

Heskey’s wife Chantelle captured the moment his son signed terms at the club - before uploading the video to Instagram - as he was joined by first-team players Eliaquim Mangala, Fabian Delph and Gael Clichy for the memorable occasion.
