Ian Wright admits he is worried about Arsenal in top four race

The Gunners face a fight to secure Champions League football.

Ian Wright has admitted he is worried about Arsenal in the race for the top four this season, in comments to BT Sport's Fletch and Sav.

The Gunners are currently third in the table and four points ahead of Manchester United in fifth with four games of the season remaining.

It is a dangerous position for them to be in, with United and West Ham both pushing hard to try to finish in the top four.

Manchester City behind them are also hitting their best form as the season concludes, and Wright admits that you have to worry about Arsenal as there is a nervousness about them.

“You have to worry about Arsenal,” he told Fletch and Sav.

“I’m not saying that on the back of West Brom, you expect them to beat West Brom. There’s nervousness about them.

“They’ve got to get maximum points I genuinely believe that. Whether Liverpool or someone can catch them I’m not really fussed, it’s down to Arsenal.”

The pressure is certainly on for Arsenal between now and the end of the season after another disappointing campaign.

Even worse, they do not face an easy set of fixtures as they take on Sunderland and Norwich in their next two games, both of whom are desperately fighting against relegation.

City are then up after those two, and there is every chance that game in particular could be crucial to the Gunners’ top four hopes.
