The defender showed his class as the two sides drew 2-2 at Anfield.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure was in impressive form as his side drew with Newcastle United this weekend.

The Ivorian defender was drafted into the defence alongside Dejan Lovren after the news that Mamadou Sakho will be suspended pending an investigation into a failed drugs test.

Toure though, looked comfortable at the back, despite his side’s capitulation in the second half, allowing the Magpies to secure an unlikely point.

As demonstrated by the stats provided by Opta, he was among his side’s best defenders on the afternoon.
