The midfielder was highly impressive in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal.
Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila was in fine form as his side drew with Arsenal this weekend.
The Black Cats secured a vital point at the Stadium of Light on Sunday as a resolute defensive display saw them earn a 0-0 draw against the Gunners.
The result took Sunderland out of the bottom three for the first time in seven weeks as the relegation battle looks set to go down to the wire.
Key to the result was their overall defensive work and midfielders Yann M’Vila, Jan Kirchhoff and Lee Cattermole played a big part in that.
M’Vila was arguably the best of that trio as he put in a top display in the heart of the midfield.
