Nottingham Forest fans react on Twitter to Henri Lansbury's performance against Fulham

Nottingham Forest beat Fulham 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Nottingham Forest picked up their first league win since the 8th of March on Saturday, as they beat Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage.

With just three points from eight games heading into the Fulham clash, Forest were in dire form, but managed to serve up their best performance in a while to claim all three points.

Rare goalscorer Robert Tesche found the net to put Forest in front, and fellow midfielder Henri Lansbury added a second before half-time from the penalty spot.

Matt Smith pulled one back for Fulham, but former Arsenal trainee Lansbury added gloss to the win with a third goal on 70 minutes.

The star of the show was, without doubt, playmaker Lansbury, who has now hit three assists and two goals in his last five games for Forest.

The 25-year-old has been pushed into a more attacking role under Paul Williams, and he appears to be reaping the rewards with another fine performance on Saturday.

After the game, Forest fans took to Twitter to rave about Lansbury's performance, urging the Forest board to give him a new an improved contract - but others are concerned that his displays will prompt interest from other clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Supporters were delighted with the new role for Lansbury, believing that it suits him better than playing deep, as he did under Dougie Freedman - and here are some of the tweets from Forest fans after Lansbury starred in the win over Fulham...
