Tottenham are likely to need to be victorious in all four of their remaining matches this season, if they are to have any hopes of winning the Premier League title.
However, the Argentine boss insists that his squad knows the task at hand, and he does not want to put excess pressure on them by reminding them of how important three points now are.
“We know that we are in a period where we must win to still believe in our dream of winning the title," Pochettino said. "There’s no repeating this to the players, we say nothing because they know and we all know that this is a very important game for us.
“You never know what will happen with the opponent, this is difficult to guess. The only thing that we can control is us and how we are in the game. This is the most important thing – to focus on ourselves.”
Tottenham’s title hopes were dealt a blow earlier today, as Leicester City strolled to success over Swansea City to ensure that they moved eight points clear at the top of the table.
Leicester beat the Swans 4-0, and even without Jamie Vardy they did not appear threatened in the match.
Spurs will have to avoid letting that result affect their mood as they head into a home match against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow, though.
Spurs need to avoid an upset to keep the pressure on Claudio Ranieri’s side - who need two wins from their final two matches to confirm their title success.
Leicester have matches against Everton, Manchester United and Chelsea left to play this season.
