Jores Okore sends message to Aston Villa fans, gets response

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore was left out of the squad this weekend.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has had his say on his current situation at the club, commenting via Twitter last night.

Okore was responding to claims from caretaker manager Eric Black that he had refused to play for the club.

Black was quoted by The BBC last week saying: "After that game, he said that he didn't want to be considered for any of the games going forwards.

"I didn't have a choice apart from remove him. I don't want people who don't want to be at Aston Villa."

Okore was not part of the squad which were beaten 4-2 by Southampton at the weekend, and his future at the club is very much in doubt after Black's comments.

He took to Twitter to defend himself last night, claiming there is more to the story than Black's version of events.

The damage may already be done to Okore's reputation, and whether the 23-year-old wants to play in the Championship next season is unclear.

Okore did not elaborate any further, leaving fans wondering what exactly the situation is.

The defender has been one of the better players for Villa this season among a woeful bunch, and the responses show that opinion is hardly siding entirely with Eric Black.

Here is a look at what supporters had to say to him in reply...
