Queens Park Rangers drew 1-1 with Reading at Loftus Road yesterday.
Kpekawa and Gladwin were handed rare starts in QPR’s 1-1 draw against Reading yesterday, as Hasselbaink begins to asses his squad ahead of next season.
Rangers have little to play to for this term, and the Dutch boss has started to tinker with his line-up in recent times.
Kpwkawa and Gladwin were the latest to benefit from the alterations that Hasslebaink has made at QPR, and the former Burton Albion boss was happy with the duo’s displays.
“Cole Kpekawa did very well,” he said. “I’m very pleased. Ben Gladwin also did very well and I think there’s so much more to come from both of them.
“I think when it all settles, you will see much more quality from those two.”
Gladwin has endured a difficult first season for QPR, since signing from Swindon Town last summer.
The attacking midfielder has been loaned out on two occasions, and he has struggled to make much of an impact for the London club to date.
Kpekawa, meanwhile, is regarded as one of the brightest talents coming through at QPR.
The youngster has been tipped to break into Rangers’ first-team over the coming years, and he largely impressed on his first league start against Reading.
