Jack Hunt left Crystal Palace to join Sheffield Wednesday in the January transfer window.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has congratulated his former club Crystal Palace on reaching the FA Cup final.

Hunt left Palace to join Wednesday on a permanent transfer in the January transfer window, but he was still pleased to see the Eagles progress to the cup final.

The 25-year-old took to social media to congratulate his old teammates, soon after their victory over Watford was confirmed earlier this afternoon.

Palace booked their place in the FA Cup final, by putting an excellent performance against Watford.

The Eagles took the lead early on, when Yannick Bolasie notched from close range.

They were pegged back by Watford captain Troy Deeney, but a Connor Wickham header won the tie and ensured their progress.

Palace will now meet Manchester United in the FA Cup final on May 21st.

Louis van Gaal’s side made it through to the final by beating Everton 2-1 yesterday, thanks to a last minute winner from Anthony Martial.
