Gerard Deulofeu sends message to Everton fans on Twitter after FA Cup exit

Everton lost against Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday evening.

Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his disappointment at his side’s failure to win against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The Merseyside outfit lost 2-1 to Premier League rivals United at Goodison Park in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium in London.

Marouane Fellaini put the Red Devils in the lead on 34 minutes, but Chris Smalling scored an own goal in the 75th minute to make it 1-1.

Anthony Martial scored the winner for Louis van Gaal’s side in the third minute of injury time.

Deulofeu has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the final result and has thanked the Everton fans for their support.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Wembley on Saturday evening, Everton had 45% of the possession, took 16 shots of which eight were on target, and earned two corners.

United had 55% of the possession, took 22 shots of which only seven were on target, and earned seven corners.
