Derby County played out a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Saturday.

Derby County striker Darren Bent has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at scoring against Sheffield Wednesday at home on Saturday afternoon.

The Englishman was on target for Derby at the iPro Stadium, as they played out a 1-1 draw with Wednesday in the Championship.

The 32-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa striker scored the equaliser in the 82nd minute of the match, after Barry Bannan had given the Owls the lead on 69 minutes.

Bent has taken to Twitter to express his delight at scoring for Derby, while his teammate Cyrus Christie is pleased with the point.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the iPro Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Derby had 55% of the possession, took 12 shots of which seven were on target, and earned nine corners.

The Rams are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 77 points from 44 matches and have confirmed their place in the playoffs.
