Jermaine Jenas predicted on BBC Radio 5 live Sport on Friday evening (April 22) that Tottenham Hotspur will win the London derby against Chelsea next month.
Tottenham will take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Monday, May 2.
Former Spurs midfielder Jenas believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter.
The former England international claims that the Chelsea players do not have the legs to compete with the current Tottenham team.
“I think Spurs will beat Chelsea,” said the former Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United star on BBC Radio 5 live Sport on Friday evening (April 22).
“As much as Chelsea will want to stop them, and as good as the players are in their team, I think physically, that Chelsea team has not got enough legs in it to live with Spurs.”
Tottenham are in better form than Chelsea and are very much in the hunt for the Premier League title this season.
The Blues’ campaign is pretty much over, but the players will certainly make it hard for Spurs.
Given the rivalry between Spurs and Chelsea, Guus Hiddink’s side are going to do their best to win against Tottenham.
The North London outfit will head into the match as favourites, but one should not be surprised if they end up picking up just a point.
