Newcastle United are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry suggested on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, April 22) that he has been impressed with the impact Rafael Benitez has made at Newcastle United.
Benitez was appointed the Newcastle manager in March following the dismissal of Steve McClaren.
Former Arsenal striker Henry has highlighted the difference Benitez has made in the team since his arrival at St. James’ Park.
“I have to say with Rafa Benitez, they look a bit more compact, no distances between the lines, they are more direct,” said the former France international on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, April 22).
“I think they are looking a bit more compact and more direct on the counter under Rafa Benitez,” added Henry.
Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 34 matches.
The Magpies are just two points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and still have a chance of staving off the drop to the Championship.
Benitez’s side will return to action this afternoon when they take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League.
