Report: Lille want to sign £5m Swansea City flop Eder permanently

The Portuguese striker has performed well in France.

In the summer Swansea City moved to address their striking issues.

They spent, according to the BBC, around £5 million to sign Portuguese international striker Eder from Braga.

The forward had a good scoring record with the club but his record at international level had some Swansea fans worried and rightly so.

In his 17 appearances with the club Eder managed to score a grand total of zero goals and was surely one of the worst summer signings in the Premier League.

In the end Swansea decided to move him on. After signing Alberto Paloschi from Chievo the club sent Eder out on loan to Lille.

His time in France has however been more fruitful. Eder has scored five goals in nine appearances for the club since joining on loan and according to a report the club is now looking at the financials of potentially bringing him in permanently.

L’Equipe are reporting that Lille are keen on keeping hold of the player this summer and are trying to find the funds to do so.

Swansea would surely be happy to sell the Portuguese international at the right price, considering the small impact he had at the Liberty Stadium.
