Rangers fans react on Twitter to James Tavernier's performance against Alloa

The defender has been in great form this season for Rangers.

Rangers were crowned Scottish Championship title winners today, after drawing 1-1 with Alloa Athletic.

It comes after a disappointing defeat to Scottish Cup final opponents Hibernian in the week and was again not the ideal performance from the champions.

Rangers have however had a great run of form recently and recently beat Old Firm rivals Celtic, won the League Challenge Cup and won promotion to the top flight with a win against Dumbarton.

The winning goal that day came from James Tavernier and the right-back has had a fantastic season.

Today, it was the Ibrox Cafu who again scored the crucial goal.

Tavernier, signed in the summer from Wigan Athletic, has come of age in the Scottish second-tier and his goal return has been quite sensational.

The 24-year-old has scored an incredible 15 goals from full-back this season and that must surely excite Rangers fans ahead of next season in the top-flight.

His performance today was followed by a lap of honour with the Championship title and the Rangers fans were certainly happy to let him know just how appreciated he is at the club on Twitter…
