Liverpool and Newcastle United will face each other in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Aston Villa and Everton striker Andy Gray has predicted on Sport360.com that Liverpool will win against Newcastle United this weekend.

Liverpool will take on Newcastle at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Gray has backed the Reds to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-0 victory.

Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has also predicted Liverpool to win the match against Newcastle.

“Liverpool have a few injury problems and they have a Europa League semi-final to think about so I think Jurgen Klopp will rest a few of his big boys,” Gray wrote on Sport360.com. “However, they will still be good enough to beat Newcastle. 2-0.”

“I thought Newcastle played really well against Swansea but it is too little too late,” Keys wrote on Sport360.com. “Benitez will probably try and make this game all about his return to Anfield but he’ll leave empty handed. 2-1.”

Liverpool are a much better team than Newcastle and are also in better form. There is an outside chance that the Merseyside outfit could finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, and manager Jurgen Klopp will want his players to give their all.

Playing at home is also going to be an advantage for the Reds, who hammered Merseyside rivals Everton 4-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Newcastle will head into the game against Liverpool on the back of a 1-1 draw with top-four-chasing Manchester City at St. James’ Park.
