Derby will take on Wednesday at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The former Millwall boss believes that the Rams will pick up all three points from the encounter at the iPro Stadium courtesy of a 3-2 victory.
“Derby will probably be more relaxed of the two as they are guaranteed a place in the play-offs while Wednesday still need one more win and take on Cardiff next weekend, which could swing things in the favour of the Welsh club,” Holloway wrote on Skysports.com. “Things might get interesting in that department after this weekend as I think Derby will win this one.
“Derby boss Darren Wassall will want his team to keep their habit of winning games. He's a professional man. I like the way he goes about his business - I don't think there's a chance of them easing up now the play-offs are guaranteed.”
Derby are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 76 points from 43 matches.
The Rams are set to finish in the playoffs this season, and that is progress from the 2014-15 campaign.
Darren Wassall’s side will head into the game against Wednesday at the iPro Stadium on the back of a 3-2 victory over Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium.
Meanwhile, Wednesday currently find themselves sixth in the Championship table with 70 points from 43 matches.
The Owls, who should be able to clinch the final playoff spot, will head into the match against Derby on the back of a goalless draw with Milton Keynes Dons at the Hillsborough Stadium.
