Michael Ball has taken to social networking site Twitter to strongly criticise Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
The former Everton defender was not impressed with Martinez’s press conference on Friday morning.
The Spaniard spoke to the press ahead of the Toffees’ FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester United at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
Everton will head into the match on the back of a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Merseyside derby.
Martinez believes that Martinez should have apologised for his side’s performance against the Reds in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Well that was a load of dribble. RM press conference no apology to the fans for wed & no enthusiasm for fans travelling south for semi. #EFC— Michael Ball (@bally03) 22 April 2016
Everton have been disappointing all season in the Premier League, and the game against United will be massive.
Manager Martinez has come under pressure, and to appease the fans, he will have to make sure that the Toffees progress to the final of the FA Cup.
A defeat to United on Saturday evening could spell trouble for the Spaniard in terms of his future as the Everton manager.
