Jamie Redknapp refutes John Terry's pre-season suggestion that Petr Cech would be worth 15 points to Arsenal after his move from Chelsea.
When Arsenal clinched the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea last summer, many wondered if the goalkeeper could be the missing piece to help them win the league title.
Chelsea themselves were worried, with captain John Terry telling Talksport that Cech could be worth 12 to 15 points a season to Arsenal.
Arsenal are no closer to winning the title, even though Chelsea have had a poor season, and look destined to finish trophyless this campaign.
He said: "People said he's worth 15 points. Well, if he hadn't been here they be in the bottom six. He hasn't [been worth that."
Cech has been solid enough for Arsenal, impressing particularly in a 0-0 draw with Liverpool early in the season, but his career at the club got off to a poor start as he made an error in an opening weekend loss at home to West Ham.
He also conceded a soft goal against Crystal Palace at the weekend, but Arsene Wenger's use of him has also been questionable at times, selecting David Ospina ahead of him in a disastrous Champions League game early in the season against Olympiakos.
