Ex-Tottenham man Mido says pressure getting to Claudio Ranieri

Leicester City sit on the brink of perhaps the most unlikely sporting achievement in history.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has claimed on Twitter that the pressure of leading the Premier League title race is starting to get to Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri.

The Foxes saw their eight-point lead over Spurs cut to five points on Monday night when the Lilywhites demolished Stoke City 4-0 at the Britannia Stadium, one day after Ranieri watched his troops drop two points in a 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

Nevertheless, Leicester, who host Swansea City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon, have four games left in which to see out what would be arguably one of the most unlikely sporting achievements in history.

Indeed, Ranieri is closing in on greatness, but the Italian coach raised his voice in a pre-match press conference on Friday and reminded a reporter that his side are in the "Champions League, man".

Although the 64-year-old did so with a smile, clearly in tongue-in-cheek, Mido hinted on Twitter that the incident reflected the growing pressure on Ranieri's shoulders.

Should Leicester beat Swansea, Spurs would certainly need to respond by taking three points off West Bromwich Albion on the Monday night.
