Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Olivier Giroud's performance

Olivier Giroud's scoring drought for Arsenal continues.

Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 thanks to a brace from Alexis Sanchez on a rare Thursday night Premier League game.

Despite the Gunners' win, Olivier Giroud could not snap his goalless streak, starting the match but failing to net.

Giroud has struggled badly in the second half of the season, losing his place along with Theo Walcott, with Danny Welbeck frequently preferred since his return from injury.

The win over West Brom was satisfactory, but did little to inspire excitement among fans who have been frustrated by their league title challenge fading. They currently sit 10 points behind Leicester City.

Giroud had four attempts at goal, two of which were on target, and to his credit, he created two chances.

He has now gone through 13 consecutive league games without a goal, and it is hard to imagine Arsenal not signing a striker in the summer. He has a record of 12 goals in 34 league games.

Here is a look at how fans responded on Twitter to his performance...
