Leeds boss has been linked with Celtic job.
Ronny Deila quit his post yesterday, announcing via the club website he would be stepping down at the end of the season.
Evans is a manager keen to be active in the transfer market, and it would make sense that he may look back to Leeds for potential additions to the squad.
Here are three players he could target, with one name in particular being controversial.
Berardi has been one of the best signings of the Cellino era, with his committed displays forcing Sam Byram out of the side before he was sold to West Ham. Berardi, who hails from Switzerland, could slot in at right-back and become a regular for Celtic.
Liam Cooper was recently called into the Scotland squad, and has already captained Leeds United at just 24. The centre-back would be a solid signing for Celtic, and a move could help solidify his place in the national side, giving him a platform to show he deserves his place.
This one could prove a little controversial, or at least need an apology of handshake to smooth it over. Liam Bridcutt caused anger with a heavy tackle on Celtic star Erik Sviatchenko in a recent international friendly between Scotland and Denmark, although Evans could surely smooth this over. Bridcutt was his first signing as Leeds boss, signed on loan from Sunderland, and his future remains unclear.
