The Reds were impressive 4-0 winners on Wednesday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were at their scintillating best at Anfield as they ran out 4-0 winners in a more than comfortable win.
Indeed, such was the level of their display, and the lack of one from Everton, they could have ran out as much bigger winners had they decided to be more ruthless.
They enjoyed 37 shots on goal throughout the game, and on another evening it could have been a much more embarrassing result for Roberto Martinez’s team.
Their fans clearly enjoyed the display, including their former stars, with Jamie Carragher joining in that the scoreline could have been much higher.
Great result for Lfc should've been 6 could've been 8. EFC woeful, as bad a performance I've ever seen in a Merseyside Derby game.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 20, 2016
He was not the only one impressed either, as Stan Collymore also shared his impression making a prediction about the Reds’ future under Klopp.
Liverpool are now up to seventh and just six points from the top four, with a Europa League semi final to compete also.
And while eyes may be on the distant future, the near future also looks to be very bright for them after another impressive win.
