The Reds beat Merseyside rivals Everton 4-0 on Wednesday night to continue their fine recent form, and Jurgen Klopp really appears to be building something special at Anfield - but in order to keep progressing, he will need new signings this summer.
Defender Joel Matip and midfielder Marko Grujic will begin their Liverpool careers this summer having signed from Schalke and Red Star Belgrade respectively, but now The Sun report that Klopp has two more targets in mind - and they both play in the Premier League.
It's claimed that Klopp is keen to sign West Ham full back Aaron Cresswell, who was born in Liverpool and even started his career with the Reds before being released at the age of 15.
After impressing with Tranmere Rovers and Ipswich Town, Cresswell has become one of the Premier League's top full backs, and the 26-year-old has been touted for an England call-up having caught the eye with his superb crossing from the left hand side.
Liverpool do already have Alberto Moreno at left back, but re-signing Cresswell would offer competition for places - and he even told The Telegraph in 2014 that he was heartbroken when his boyhood club let him go as a teenager.
It's also suggested that Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson - who has just returned to fitness after a knee injury sustained in October - is also a target for Liverpool as Klopp seeks another striker.
The 24-year-old hit 23 goals to help Bournemouth win promotion last season, and looked to be on course for a huge season this term, hitting a hat-trick against West Ham back in August before having his season crushed by injury.
Now back to fitness and looking to fire again, the Englishman is believed to be a target for Liverpool, where his pace would no doubt be appreciated by Klopp alongside the likes of Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge.
