Michael Owen is backing Liverpool to beat Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend - and doesn't think the Tyneside outfit will score at Anfield, according to his regular predictions column for Bet Victor.
Indeed, Newcastle drew 1-1 with Manchester City earlier this week yet, on Wednesday night, Liverpool thrashed Everton 4-0.
And the former Liverpool and Newcastle striker told Bet Victor: "I’m looking forward to seeing the reception Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez gets on Merseyside with the man that famously led the Reds to Champions League success in Istanbul still loved at Anfield and likely to be given a warm homecoming.
"The Magpies are likely to leave empty handed, however, with the Reds hitting their stride under Jurgen Klopp and awesome in their 4-0 defeat of Everton in the Merseyside derby midweek. Newcastle are winless in their last 20 PL visits to Anfield, losing 17, and are unlikely to build on that at the weekend."
Confidence levels will be high at St James' Park after two positive results on the bounce. But, as Owen suggests, confidence will be even higher at Liverpool. Newcastle need to avoid falling into a trap at Anfield.
The Magpies could go for it, thinking they can go toe to toe with anyone after the Swansea win and Manchester City draw.
Opening the game up, though, will allow the hosts to exploit the space. Interestingly, Newcastle look a far better team than Everton do right now - so might not be onto a hiding to nothing as the Toffees were.
Caution, though, must be expressed. Liverpool are looking very strong indeed right now.
