Daniel Sturridge came off the bench for Liverpool last night and wasted little time in scoring against rivals Everton.
He netted the third goal in a 4-0 victory, and even tried to claim the fourth, which was given as teammate Philippe Coutinho's goal.
The one he was awarded was his 50th goal for Liverpool, a milestone he would have reached a long time ago had it not been for an unfortunate succession of injuries.
Sturridge had come on for Divock Origi who was stretchered off after a bad challenge from Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori, which saw the Argentine sent off.
Origi has recently been preferred to Sturridge, but the England striker has a chance to stake his claim now as the Belgian recovers from his ankle injury, the extent of which is still to be determined.
Sturridge's goal was clinically taken, nipping in to take advantage of poor Everton defending, with John Stones hauled off immediately afterwards.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to his performance...

Sturridge's goal perfectly sums up how Klopp played at BVB, winning the ball back high in midfield...— Jason Button (@butskijnr) April 20, 2016

A) got a goal or assist every 86 minutes in the PL this season
B) played more minutes this season than last season.
Sturridge scores in 64% of games he plays in. I'm way too harsh on him. If he was Spanish, Brazilian or Argentinian he would be paraded.— chris #44 (@0rigi) April 20, 2016
Why was Sturridge trying to claim Coutinho's goal? Smh— StreetBoyWivAttitude (@momentumSBWA) April 20, 2016
