Crystal Palace fans react to Julian Speroni's performance against Manchester United

Crystal Palace were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United yesterday evening.

Crystal Palace supporters were delighted to see Julian Speroni make his return against Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday evening.

Speroni started for the first time in almost a year against United, and although he was unable to stop his side from falling to a 2-0 defeat, the Argentine still managed to impress.

Speroni produced a string of fine saves to keep the Red Devils at bay, and Eagles supporters were very impressed by his showing.

Palace fans are now urging Alan Pardew to keep faith in the experienced stopper for the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend.

Palace are due to face Watford at Wembley, and it is expected that Wayne Hennessey will be given his place between the sticks back.

However, Palace fans seem united in the belief that Speroni should still be their number one, and they have suggested that Pardew should be looking to utilise him far more regularly.

Speroni is now just two appearances away from breaking John Jackson’s record of playing the most games for Palace as a goalkeeper.
