WWE legend Ric Flair talks up Leicester City’s title bid

The wrestling hero had some inspirational words for the surprise Premier League leaders.

Leicester City have received support from WWE legend Ric Flair in their bid to win the Premier League title, in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live.

The Foxes currently sit five points clear of closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur with four games still to play.

Claudio Ranieri’s men have stunned pundits and opposition alike with their sensational run of form this term, as the relegation candidates transformed their status to become potential champions.

Leicester pulled off a sensational survival escape last term with a run of seven wins from their final nine matches to stave off relegation, and they continued that success into the current campaign.

Ahead of their upcoming clash with Swansea City at the King Power Stadium, the iconic wrestling superstar - nicknamed The Nature Boy - provided some advice for the shock leaders.

He told BBC 5 Live: "I heard it's 5000-1 if you win [the Premier League]. You've come this far, you've walked that aisle, you've beaten the best.

"Just bring it. Don’t look back, just look forward."

Flair continued to taunt and addressed Leicester's upcoming fixtures in the title run-in: ”Manchester United, you're up next. You've got no game guys. Leicester City, all the way. Whoo!"

Hall of Famer Flair should know a thing or two about winning titles. Combined with his exploits in ex-rival franchise WCW and NWA, the 67-year-old has claimed 31 world titles.
