Wednesday's Bannan had a busy night on social media.
The Owls drew for the second successive home game against MK Dons on Tuesday, but actually gained ground on seventh-place courtesy of Cardiff drawing and losing in that time.
Despite this, it was a largely frustrating evening at Hillsborough, with Wednesday winger Ross Wallace seeing red in the closing stages and Fernando Forestieri denied a penalty at the death.
But the mood in the camp remains one of positivity, based on the response of a trio of tweeting Owls after the match.
Left-back Joe Bennett, who has ruled himself out of the run-in after suffering minor ligament damage, posted: "A point and Cardiff loosing. Take that!? 3 to go!!"

Morning. Very frustrating night last night. We did everything we could for the 3 points the ball just wouldn't go in the net #ontothenextone— Jack Hunt (@Hunty32) 20 April 2016
And midfielder Barry Bannan echoed his teammate's comments, posting: "We tried everything tonight for the victory just didn't get that goal but we will be back again on Saturday."

Bannan had earlier tweeted his delight at Charlton Athletic's relegation from the Championship, in a post that has since been deleted.
The Addicks' official Twitter account claimed the midfielder was "being treated for embarrassment" after a failed challenge in November's fixture at The Valley, when he had actually suffered ligament damage which kept him out of the Owls' next three fixtures.
