The 24-year-old went down injured, but went on to score in a recent Under-21 outing.

Jack Wilshere scored his first goal in 11 months on Monday night as he stepped up his recovery in Arsenal Under-21s' 1-2 defeat by West Bromwich Albion Under-21s.

The 24-year-old has spent the Gunners' entire season out injured with an ankle problem, though he appears to be slowly making his way back to the first team.

Wilshere cancelled out Joe Hard's opener with a powerful volley at Meadow Park, but Samir Nabi struck the winner for the Baggies in the second half.

The talented midfielder, who could still make Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2016, produced a casual fist pump in celebration of his equaliser - and Arsenal fans will love seeing that sight once again.

There was, however, a huge moment of concern when the England international, whose Arsenal career as a whole has been blighted by injuries, went down injured, but he was able to carry on following treatment.
